There Are So Many Ways to Lend a Helping Hand

Mew is growing at a fast pace and with that, we need more and more people to help out! Team work is what makes the dream work. And having people focused on very specific things makes sure it gets the attention to detail it is and also ensures we don’t overload anyone with too much of the work.

There are roles for people who want to help cats from their couch, as well as those who want to get hands on – data management, adoptions, social media, TNR, and more strategic such as fundraising and donor mangement. Fill ut a volunteer app and let’s talk about the best fit for you!

This is not an all inclusive list, fill out the volunteer app and we can answer questions and see what works. NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY.



Petco

Help care for the cats at the Rogers Petco Store! Volunteers check on the cats, feed and clean the cubbies. We use a sign up sheet to manage the schedule. We notrmally put an average of 4 cats in each week Thursday- Monday and the cats are checked on twice per day.



Boots on The Ground

Do you like being on the move? Talking to people? We need volunteers to go out into the community “on calls”. It could be scanning microchips, delivering supplies or checking on a cat we got a call about. It might even be picking up and delivering laundry. These things are somewhatn random and could be done at various times.



Fostering

Fostering will always be our biggest need. It’s a few weeks for you, but a lifetime impact for the cat. Fostering is a rewarding, albeit emotional, experience. Sign up here.

Design and Social Media

This is how we tell our story! Currently we need someone with tools like Adobe to create signage, logos and brochures for example. We also need a third partner to our social media team. You’ll have lots of support and guidance!



Grant Writing

A non-profit cannot survive without grants. Grant writing is a valuable skill which takes time, patience and lot of data gathering. It’s an invaluable way to help support the rescue and the cats.
